LATE MING/EARLY QING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The slightly compressed sides cast in relief with two dragons contesting a 'flaming pearl' above rolling waves, the reverse with a third dragon, a crane, a carp and a crab below cloud scrolls, the waisted neck with two pairs of stylised chilong flanking a wan emblem on each side, all divided by dragon-head and loop-handles, the spreading foot encircled with a row of raised bosses, the base inscribed with a four-character marker's 'Hu Wenming zhi' mark within a rectangular gilt panel
