Second edition. Written primarily to explicate the moral dimension of leisure activities, Covarrubias treats of games in general, forbidden games, and gambler's gain. Among the recreations he details are including hunting (chapters 17-20), chess, dancing, and games-playing. He condemns bull-fighting on the grounds of danger to humans, rather than compassion for the bull. RARE: no copy has sold at auction since the Schwerdt-Jeanson copy in 1987.
