CIRCA 1785-90

Caughley porcelain painted with royal subjects was frequently decorated by Chamberlain's enamellers and gilders. The account books for the factory show that an ornate service with the Prince of Wales's feathers was sent to Turner's London warehouse. On 9 April 1790 a tea and chocolate service which included two teapots decorated with 'Princes Feather' at a cost of £3 were delivered.
