According to T.T. Bartholomew in Hidden Meanings in Chinese Art, Asian Art Museum, San Francisco, 2006, a monkey (hou) and a bag (dai) convey the wish, wandai fenghou, "may every generation be given the title marquis". The addition of the wasp (feng) reinforces this wish.
