Shaped circular with shell heightened gadrooned rim above scroll chased border, on three claw-and-ball feet, engraved with a coat-of-arms and underneath with initials 'WH', marked underneath
14 ½ in. (36.7 cm.) diameter
43 oz. 11 dwt. (1,355 gr.)
The arms are those of Dodwell, possibly for Henry Dodwell (1706–1784), religious controversialist and barrister. He became a bencher of the Middle Temple in 1767.
