The offered lot is considered by collectors to be one of the rarest military wristwatches ever made. Delivered to the Italian Military Air Force (A.M.I.= Areonautica Militare Italiana) just after WWII in few examples, it features a 24 hours dial and a 16 minute chronograph register. Those rare and unusual functions on a split-second chronograph were especially made for astronomical night flights.
