The second bowl commemorates Admiral Edward Hawke, victor at Quiberon Bay in 1759, Wolfe who died at Quebec in 1759, and Admiral George Brydges Rodney, victor of the Battle of the Saints, 1782. The “Spirit of a Rodney” may refer to the spirit decanter named after him. There is a stoneware bowl, c.1796, with the same motto in the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich (ZBA4376) and it also appears on a white pearlware bowl, transfer printed in blue as here.
