Compare the present vase with an identical unmarked vase of the same size dated to the Yongzheng period in the Qing Court Collection, illustrated in The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum - 38 - Porcelains in Polychrome and Contrasting Colours, Hong Kong, 1999, p. 248, no. 227. A Qianlong-marked vase of this rare pattern was sold at Sotheby’s Hong Kong, 1st May 2001, lot 562.
