A PALE GREENISH-WHITE JADE FIGURE OF A FEMALE IMMORTAL AND ATTENDANT
18TH CENTURY
The female immortal is shown holding a large double gourd tied with a peony sprig over her shoulder, and wearing long robes with a celestial scarf that billows behind her shoulders and down her back. A young attendant stands beside her holding a slightly open lobed box issuing vapor, with a small bat in flight above his head. The well-polished stone is of pale-greenish-white color with some opaque white inclusions. A Qianlong four-character seal mark is inscribed on the base.
8 5/8 in. (21.8 cm.), wood stand
