A CARVED ZITAN 'LOTUS POND' BRUSH POT, BITONG

The brush pot is finely carved on the exterior with a continuous scene of lotus stems and other aquatic plants emerging from a pond. There are various creatures amongst the growth, including two intricately depicted crabs on one side and a shrimp and fish leaping from the water.
