The ewer of bulbous form tapering to the mouth with raised collar and slightly flaring rim, the stepped domed lid with rounded knop finial, curved handle and spout with flaring aperture, the body engraved with a band of stylised petals, below a series of floral bouquets suspended from vines, the lid similar, the neck stamped with a maker's mark, the basin with bulbous body and large flaring rim with ribbed decoration, the central removable openwork draining-plate rising to a central stand, the draining plate and basin similarly engraved but possibly associated
