挪威艺术家弗雷德里克•瓦耶斯洛夫通过使用常见的材料，审视抽象、具象和装饰之间的关系。他在亚麻上喷上喷漆，形成毫不复杂的媒介，加上简单的几何构图，挑战乏味的单色作品。他想探索偏差与巧合对作品的影响，于是把作品放在户外，任由风霜雨露侵蚀，使作品展现陈旧的感觉，也各自拥有独特的叙述方式。
