NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY, 11TH-12TH CENTURY
The ewer is delicately potted with a melon-form body rising to a narrow waisted neck below an everted lipped rim, set at one side with a strap handle with a small loop on top opposite the curved spout. The body is incised with stylised ruyi heads below the curving spout and the strap handle. It is covered overall with a pale whitish-blue glaze.
