A JADE DRAGON-FORM XI PENDANT
LATE WARRING STATES PERIOD, 3RD CENTURY BC
The flat pendant is carved in the shape of a dragon shown in profile, with tiny circular eyes, a curled crest and incised details on the curved body that terminates in a point. The semi-translucent, pale olive-white stone has areas of brown and opaque ivory alteration. Together with Gisèle Croës, European Fine Art Fair Catalogue, Maastricht, 1993.
