A PAIR OF JICHIMU SQUARE-CORNER CABINETS
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The upper cabinet is constructed from openwork fretwork panels above rectangular panels carved in relief. The doors open to reveal the shelved interior, above the lower cabinet constructed from single-floating panels of finely grained jichimu. The whole is supported on square vertical stiles that terminate in hoof feet.
74 ½ in. (189.2 cm.) high, 40 ¾ in. (103.5 cm.) wide, 23 ½ in. (59.7 cm.) deep
