A CELADON JADE 'ARCHAISTIC' VASE, GU
16TH-17TH CENTURY
The square-form vase is carved and pierced with flanges in high relief and incised to the body with stylised taotie masks between upright and pendant lappets. The stone is of a celadon tone with cloudy white flecks, inclusions and fissures.
