Christie's would like to thank the Marian Goodman Gallery for their assistance with the cataloguing of this lot.

In Thomas Schütte’s practice, the art of architecture and sculpture are used to create functional, utilitarian homes and wares.
One Man's Houses is emulative of Thomas Schütte’s ideology for living. The exhibition presented his proposal for life, utopian ideas,
in combination with his ironic nature and social commentary, result in intellectually provoking work. Alongside architectural,
1:5 scale-model homes, Schütte displayed real, human-scale furniture, including chairs, vases, and lamps.
