«Dans les années 1961 à 1965, j'ai pris l'habitude de gratter avec différents instruments, dans la pâte fraiche des couleurs [...]. Pendant cette période de grattage s'infiltrait lentement une tendance aux grandes surfaces soufflées [...]. J'avais trouvé un moyen pour souffler la couleur sur la surface [...]. Par ces grandes formes qui s'évaporent, s'égarent ou s'étalent en larges plages, je tâchais de fixer le dynamisme et la constance des forces qui créent la matière, la lumière, l'esprit. Sujet qui m'a toujours passionné...»
