First offered to Patek Philippe's most important clients including, naturally, the owner of the Ultimate Collection, this stunning Patek Philippe platinum rare handicrafts watch with cloisonné enamel dial enriched with gold powder is part of an extremely limited number of reference 5077P-102. Officially named “Tissu du Bhoutan II”, the design is inspired by the traditional dyeing and weaving culture of Bhutan, the Buddhist kingdom on the eastern edge of the Himalayas. The textiles and geometric patterns on the Grand Feu cloisonné enamel dial are perfectly combined and lined with sparkling gold in natural tones of red and blue. Housed in a platinum case, the caliber 240 ultra-thin self-winding movement may be admired through the sapphire-crystal back. Remaining factory Double Sealed, it is presented in unworn new condition and accompanied by the Certificate of Origin. Enthusiasts and discerning collectors will appreciate the incredible exclusivity of this double-sealed 5077P-102 in the certain knowledge that no other person outside Patek Philippe has ever handled or worn this watch.
The present watch affords collectors the perfect opportunity to obtain an individual piece from one of these exclusive and much sought after editions, each cloisonné enamel dial being unique and hand-made as one of the superb creations of Patek Philippe’s rare handicrafts division. The present dial has been created using 13 cm of gold wire of a thickness of only 0.1 mm, and opaque and transparent enamels in 6 colours. To refine the details and illuminate the motifs the enameller incorporated 24-carat gold powder, particularly in the flowers and the geometric patterns. The dial was then fired 9 times at a temperature of approximately 850°C.
