The earliest study of the antiquities of Portugal by the Dominican antiquary and follower of Erasmus, posthumously edited and published by Mendes Vasconcellos. Vasconcellos also complemented Resende's appendix on the antiquities of his birthplace, Evora, with his own notes and adds it to the original four books as 'Liber Quintus'. This copy bears numerous marginal annotations in a 17th-century hand.
