扣人心弦:赫格維希珍藏第三部分

拍賣簡介

The third part of Spellbound: The Hegewisch Collection presents a final opportunity to acquire works from this highly personal and subtle collection of prints and drawings, ranging from Albrecht Dürer to Jim Dine and giving a unique overview of 500 years of western graphic arts. Chosen by Klaus Hegewisch over a collecting period of more that half a century, the selection presented here once again offers an insight into his obsessions and fascinations, from depictions of war and revolt to visions of monsters and mythical creatures and images of a sensuous, yet uneasy eroticism. In this last instalment, the main protagonists of Hegewisch’s artistic cosmos are particularly well represented, with famous images as well as great rarities by Dürer, Rembrandt, Tiepolo, Goya, Menzel, Daumier, Redon, Ensor, KIinger, Munch, Kollwitz, Dix, Beckmann and Picasso.
