Lot 1038 one label damaged. Levels: one base of neck and one top-shoulder. Lot 1039 bin-soiled labels, one damaged. Levels: one top and one just below top-shoulder
A very great vintage though not as dramatically powerful as 1945 red Bordeaux, more delicacy, ethereal. Yquem superb. Always reminds me of orange blossom, sweet, crisp, honey-coloured. Very high marks at the Zurich tasting in December 1995. MB
