CASSIUS CLAY/JOE MARTIN ITEMS
Joe Martin's original Police Training School certificate from the City of Louisville dated May 24, 1941 (excellent/near mint condition). Martin was a Louisville police officer who encouraged Clay to take up amateur boxing in 1954 when he was twelve. Martin became Clay's first trainer and guided him through the 1960 Rome Olympics. Together with an October 1967 copy of The Badge, a magazine published by the Jefferson County, Kentucky Police Department, featuring Cassius Clay and Joe Martin on the cover (excellent).
