Four Kozuka of Various Schools
Edo Period (All Circa 1850), the Third Signed Mitsumasa and with Kao
1) A Mito-school dark shibuichi plate with the surface carved to resemble stone and deeply carved clouds with a copper dragon and gold flames, the reverse with a continuation of the design; 2) a Mito-school dark shibuichi plate with the surface carved as a tree trunk and an elephant in high relief, the tusk gilded; 3) a polished shibuichi plate with a tiger, the head in high relief and the body in shishiaibori; 4) a copper kozuka, the front carved as Hotei's treasure bag inlaid with gold, silver, and shakudo flush inlay of two crests and scroll work, the center with the bust of a child, the face in silver and the hair in shakudo (4)
