THE ESTATE OF MR. HARRY C. POLENYVHKO
AN EXTAORDINARY COLLECTION OF MATURE BORDEAUX, SAUTERNES AND PORT
The wines represented in this collection are the essence of a man whose passion for the food and wines of France led him to collect only the best and finest France had to offer. All of the wines which Harry bought came only from the finest retailers, bought upon initial release, or on re-release from the Château. He also took great care in turning a corner of the basement into the wine cellar. It was maintained at 55 degrees, and 65 humidity. It was built so as to keep these wines for decades, not just years.
The dinners Harry had for his friends were the stuff of legend, and the smells and aromas from cooking a veal stock for three days were endless sources of fascination and amazement of his wife and three children.
In working on this collection I was inspired by the thoughts and
memories Mrs. Shirley Polenyvhko had of her late husband and the meals and memories they shared. She hopes that you will be no less so.
