The waisted brush is formed with two elongated bulbous sections finely carved with ascending and descending ruyi designs, joined by the mid-section carved as three raised ribs, the tip with a band of conjoined ruyi and the end of the brush with a bud-shaped finial, the tapering cover similarly decorated and surmounted with beaded tip
