Related to two of the five compartments surrounding the figure of Mars in a lunette in the Sala dei Stucchi at the Palazzo Te, Mantua (F. Hartt, Giulio Romano, New York, 1958, fig. 307). According to Vasari, the stuccoes were executed by Primaticcio in 1529-30 based on Giulio's designs.
