It is said that the difference between an extraordinary watchmaker and a good one is the ability to assemble a chronograph with a perpetual calendar. Master watchmakers at Lange undeniably attested to the challenge with the DATOGRAPH PERPETUAL. The model represents the most classic combination of complications - the chronograph for short time measurements and the perpetual calendar mechanism displaying the day of the week, date, months, leap years, a day/night indication and moon-phases which remains accurate until the year 2100.

The manually-wound calibre L952.1 certainly posed to be one of the most formidable tasks that confronted the minds at Lange. Totalling 556 individual parts, each meticulously finished. The solid plates and bridges in untreated German silver are decorated with perlage and Glashütte ribbing, all edges chamfered and polished. It is understood that each Datograph Perpetual requires a full year to complete.

The model is available exclusively in platinum, worn on a crocodile strap or with a platinum bracelet.
