Well-cast in openwork with the principal image of the Jina seated in dhyanasana on a cushioned throne over a stepped pedestal, surrounded by various figures and richly inlaid with copper and silver, inscribed and dated on the reverse

The inscription on the reverse gives the date this image was consecrated by Acarya Saubhagyaharshasuri of the Tapa Gaccha, and that the patrons were laity of the Srimali caste who lived in Patan, in North Gujarat. Two other metal icons were also consecrated by Saubhagyaharshasuri in VS 1584 (1528 CE) and VS 1587 (1531 CE), and are now in temples in Ahmedabad; see P. C. Parikh and B. K.
