With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with pink dial and raised gold hour markers in 1942 and its subsequent sale on 12 July 1943.

Reference 711 was in production from around 1941 until the late 1940s. The model was available in yellow and pink gold, distinguished by its sharp edges to the case and the octagonal-shaped bow.

The present watch is believed to be one of only four examples of a reference 711 in pink gold to appear in public to date, three featuring a pink dial. The fourth and only example of this reference known to exist with silvered dial is offered in this auction as lot 124.
