Tasting Note: In March 2000 at a Margaux dinner at Brook's: though very fragrant, severe on the palate and hard-edged, lean and pinched. The roast beef did not do much for it. Eight months later at Wagner's second tasting, a distinctly better note. Still opaque and youthful looking: crisp fruit, opening up beautifully; sweet, lovely fruit, attractive but very tannic. Last tasted Nov 2000 *(***)? Give it lots of time M.B.
