Compare a bowl of similar design in the Palace Museum, Beijing, illustrated in Porcelains with Cloisonné Enamel Decoration and Famille Rose Decoration, The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum, vol. 39, Hong Kong, 1999, pl. 216. Another example is in the collection of Dr. S.K. Kwan, included in the exhibition, Joined Colors, Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C., 1993, illustrated in the catalogue, no. 58; and another one is in the Metropolitan Museum, illustrated by S. Valenstein, A Handbook of Chinese Ceramics, New York, 1989, pl. 281.
Several similar bowls were sold in our Hong Kong rooms, including a pair sold on 29 May 2007, lot 1508, and one sold on 27 November 2007, lot 1772.
