Formed as a Nikosthenic amphora, the square base supported by four winged paw feet and chased with a band of gadrooning, the body with fluted spigot, lion's-mask spout and carved ivory tap, the waisted neck chased with foliage and anthemion, the rim chased with acanthus, the raised cover with gadrooning and pod finial, engraved with a coat-of-arms, marked on neck and under cover
