Oval with openwork basketweave sides below twisted wire rim, with a twisted wire overhead swing handle, engraved with a coat-of-arms, marked on foot, underneath and on handle

The arms are those of Lawson quartering others impaling Hartley for Sir Wilfrid Lawson, 10th Bt. of Isel, Cumberland, (d.1806) and his wife Anne, daughter of John Hartley, Esq., of Whitehaven. He succeeded to the title on the death of his father in 1794.
