北宋 定窰劃荷花直口盌

盌直口,口下漸收,近足內折,平底微出邊。口沿外出弦紋一道,鑲銅口。盌裏外劃荷花。

此器造型規整,秀麗典雅,釉色均勻,白中帶牙黃。劃花技術嫻熟,線條流暢,揮灑自如,花葉交錯,生動活潑,表現了工匠精湛的技藝,為定窰器中的精美之作。裏外劃花是定窰裝飾的特點之一,至北宋劃花裝飾技術已相當成熟。

此器源自倫敦山中商會,後由卡爾肯普博士收藏。2008年5月14日於倫敦蘇富比拍賣,拍品253號。此器1954年於威尼斯中國藝術品展覽中展出,1971年在紐約Asia House Gallery及其他九間博物館作巡迴展覽。並著錄於多本德國、倫敦、美國出版的著作。

This is a classic example of the kind of fine Ding ware that found favour with the Northern Song elite. Ding-type bowls of larger size with freely incised lotus sprays and combed details are found in both the Palace Museum in Beijing and National Palace Museum, Taipei. Two from the Qing Court Collection are illustrated in Porcelain of the Song Dynasty, The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum, Hong Kong, 1996, pls. 47 and 55; two in the National Palace Museum Collection in Taipei are illustrated in Catalogue of the Special Exhibition of Ting Ware White Porcelain, Taipei, 1987, pls.28 and 29. Another of large size in the Ataka Collection is illustrated in Toji Taikei, vol. 37, pl. 78; one in the Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka, was included in the exhibition White Porcelain of Ding Yao, Nezu Institute of Fine Arts, Tokyo, 1983, Catalogue no. 118, the Nezu Institute of Fine Arts exhibition also featured bowls with similar lotus designs on the interior and plain exterior, ibid., Catalogue nos. 119-121; a related bowl is illustrated in Selected Chinese Ceramics from the Han to Qing Dynasties, Chang Foundation, Taipei, 1990, pl. 23.
