A yacht and other ships in a very light air

The prototype by Willem van de Velde II is known in several versions, among others one that was sold at Christie's London on 6 July 2010. The main vessel, which was a Dutch States Yacht in Van de Velde's composition, has been replaced in the present painting by an English smallship flying the Red Ensign.
