A clock of the same model in the Louvre, with slight variations to the enameled dial, was a bequest of the Baron Basile de Schlichting in 1914, and is illustrated in D. Alcouffe, A. Dion-Tenenbaum, and G. Mabille, Gilt bronzes in the Louvre, Dijon, 2004, pg. 204-5, no. 103. That clock has the signature of Henri-François Dubuisson, maître émailleur in 1769, who worked for clockmakers in the manner of Coteau, while this clock is inscribed by the émailleur Chardin.
