With swamped octagonal sighted barrel rifled with six grooves and retaining traces of original blued finish, border and scroll engraved bright tang (tang-screw missing) and rounded lock, moulded figured walnut full stock carved in low relief with a spray of foliage behind the barrel-tang and rear ramrod-pipe, border and scroll engraved iron mounts, sliding wooden patch-box cover (some chips to edge), set triggers, and associated iron ramrod (some discolouration and surface corrosion marking throughout, butt with old worm holes, rear sling mount missing, fore-end cap missing)
