ROLEX. A FINE AND RARE STAINLESS STEEL ANTIMAGNETIC CHRONOGRAPH WRISTWATCH WITH TELEMETRE AND TACHYMETRE SCALES SIGNED ROLEX, OYSTER CHRONOGRAPHE, ANTI-MAGNETIQUE, REF. 6234, CASE NO. 425’643, MANUFACTURED IN 1958 Cal. 72A mechanical movement, 17 jewels, silvered matte dial, applied dagger numerals with luminous accents, luminous hands, Arabic five minute divisions, outer blue telemetre and black tachymetre scales, three engine-turned subsidiary dials for constant seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours registers, tonneau-shaped water resistant-type case, screw back, screw down crown, two round chronograph buttons in the band, case, dial and movement signed 36 mm. diam.

The present watch is distinguished by its very good and original overall condition. It is amongst the most attractive examples of the successful and sought after reference 6234 to appear in public in recent years. Its unrestored dial featuring a highly charismatic cream tone combined with an impressively well preserved case render it a fantastic collector's watch.

Different versions of reference 6234 in regard to case material and dial layout are described and illustrated in I Cronografi Rolex - La Leggenda, Pucci Papaleo Editore, pp. 254 - 276.
