FERNIER ET FRÈRES À BESANÇON, DEMI-CHRONOMÈTRE, CASE NO. 155’714, CIRCA 1895 Mechanical lever movement, 16 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, enamel dial, Roman numerals, gold Louis XV hands, black center seconds hand stoppable by sliding the lever in the band and pushing the crown, time is set by pushing the button at 11 o’clock while winding the crown, outer Arabic five seconds register, subsidiary seconds, gold cuvette engraved on the front L. Fernier & Fr(è)res à Besançon, Paris 1878 Médaille d’Or, Demi-Chronometre, circular plain case, hinged back, case and cuvette signed and numbered, case stamped with casemaker’s mark DF, dial signed 50 mm. diam.
