SWISS. A FINE, RARE AND ATTRACTIVE 18K GOLD, ENAMEL AND DIAMONDSET HUNTER CASE QUARTER REPEATING KEYLESS LEVER WATCH, MADE FOR THE INDIAN MARKET RETAILED BY M.J. PACK, BOMBAY & PARIS, NO. 5105, CIRCA 1890. 14’’’ mechanical jewelled lever movement, repeating on two hammers, gold cuvette, white enamel dial, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, circular case, finely chased and engraved floral decorated bezels, translucent green and pink enamel and diamond-set floral decoration over engine-turned background to both sides, repeating slide in the translucent green champlevé geometrical decorated band, cuvette signed by retailer. 40 mm. diam.

The present watch and its lavishly decorated case is a fine example for a timepiece made for the Indian market. Fitted with a high quality movement possibly supplied by an eminent maker such as Louis Audemars, it was retailed by the firm M.J. Pack located in Bombay and Paris.
