See footnote to lot 7.

This example of a bella donna dish is unusual because the subject is depicted looking over her shoulder towards the viewer; usually the subject is shown in profile to the left or to the right. For a dish with the subject looking over her right shoulder, see Elena Ivanova et al., Il secolo d'oro della maiolica, Ceramica italiana dei secoli XV-XVI dalla raccolta del Museo Statale dell'Ermitage, Museo delle Ceramiche Faenza Exhibition Catalogue, 2003, p. 118, no. 105.
