CIRCA 1750, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK TO BACK OF BASE
Modelled by J.J. Kändler, standing before a tree-stump, leaning forwards with both arms raised to chop a carcass with an axe, in a black tricorn hat, green-lined brown coat, red tunic, white apron and brown breeches, the mound base applied with flowers and moulded with rococo scrolls enriched in puce, turquoise, blue and yellow (restoration to brim of hat and axe blade, small chips)
