細節
圓雕卧形鵪鶉式。鵪鶉短頸，團身，圓眼，尖啄，身上琢有長短不一的翎毛，身內挖為空膛，分上下兩層，翅下有一周子母式盒口，可開啟。白玉質帶皮。
鵪鶉是宮廷常用的圖案和器物造型，寓平安之意。鵪鶉一對，則象徵「雙安」。北京故宮博物院藏白玉鵪鶉蓋盒一件，見1991 年石家莊出版《中國玉器全集．6．清》，圖版106 號。另見一對白玉例子於香港藝術館1983 年舉辦敏求精舍展覽《中國玉雕》中展出，圖錄圖版196 號；黃玉雕鵪鶉蓋盒一對，見1989 年華盛頓出版《Chinese Jades from the Collection of the Seattle Art Museum》，圖版73號。
