MING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY

The National Palace Museum, Taipei has a sixteenth century box of slightly smaller size, with very similar decoration of a single bird perched on a flowering branch, but without rocks and against a diamond-diaper ground, illustrated in Carving the Subtle Radiance of Colors.
