etching, circa 1640, without watermark, a fine, early impression, trimmed on or to the platemark on three sides, trimmed approximately 20 mm. into the blank sky above, the upper sheet edge with severe irregular losses, skilfully made up, a diagonal crease across the upper subject, traces of grey wash in the densely worked areas, the lower line extended with brown ink towards the sheet edges, other minor defects
