The cylindrical body rounding to slightly sloping shoulder and tubular neck with high raised trough spout and simple loop handle, on short foot, the white ground painted in a rich, well-preserved lustre with a lower register of concentric circles beneath a band of stylised kufic on a ground of scrolls and punctuated by lozenges framed by bands of loose naskh inscription reserved against gold ground, the shoulder with a dense scrolling vine, a further band of stylised kufic, old collection labels, intact, in fitted wooden Japanese box
