With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with raised hour markers in gold in 1951 and its subsequent sale on 29 June 1953.

Production of reference 725/2 was launched in 1940 and was available in yellow gold, pink gold and platinum.

The present watch is believed to be the only second example of a reference 725/2 in pink gold to appear in public to date, its rarity furthermore enhanced by the excellent original overall condition. Interestingly, these two only known examples of this reference in pink gold have consecutive movement and case numbers. Based on probability theory paired with good common sense that after nearly 60 years since production only the latter two have returned to the market one can safely assume that no more than three or four examples were ever made.
