Both composite leather and brass bound, with leather handles to front, both interiors lined in cream canvas, with two ivory canvas cross straps to the base, the smaller case with one removable tray with two ivory canvas cross straps and ivory linen flap and two leather straps to lid, both cases with keys
The larger case 7 x 28 x 18½ in. (18 x 71 x 47 cm.), the smaller 7 x 24 x 19½ in. (18 x 61 x 49.5 cm.)
Both locks inscribed 'LV, LOUIS VUITTON, MADE IN FRANCE' the larger numbered '1027341' and the smaller '170651', both interiors labelled 'LOUIS VUITTON, AVE MARCEAU 78 BIS - PARIS, NICE - 2 AVE DE SUÈDE' the larger numbered '944778' and the smaller '934167' (2)
