The rectangular padded back, armrests and seat covered in patterned repp, the frame carved with stiff leaves and beading, the scrolling arms with entrelac, on fluted turned tapering legs, with two paper labels inscribed 'C' to the underside, redecorated

Professor Richardson was friends with Lord Ullswater and it was as a result of this friendship that Richardson was asked to design Lord Ullswater's memorial which remains in St John the Baptist Church, Campsea Ashe, Suffolk.
